“If you keep on doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep on getting what you’ve always gotten.”  —  W. L. Bateman

We’ve all heard the saying… but if you’re anything like me, you thought “Oooh, that’s so true. How inspirational” and then continued on your merry way, but definitely not changing a thing.

Or… maybe you’ve put that sentiment into action in your interior design business?! If you’re a goal setter, isn’t that the gist behind New Years resolutions… to resolve to do things differently each year?

I hear from so many business owners and interior designers about how they don’t have enough clients. When I ask what they’re doing to market their interior design business, do you know what they say? “Well, I did (fill in the blank) last year and tried (another fill in the blank) the year before, but I’m just not getting any new clients.” Really? Hmmm.

If you want your business to explode with all the clients you can handle this year, don’t just ask yourself… WHAT are you going to do differently this year, the better question is HOW MANY things are you going to do differently?

Which naturally brings us to consider how badly you want things to change. If only a little, do only a little and keep things the way they are. But if you want massive, amazing, knock your socks off, make tons more money, change. . . then get ready to feel scared, uncomfortable and exhilarated!

Go ahead, step out, try new things and invest in yourself and your business. It’s sooo worthwhile!

What are some things you can do that will change your business and bring massive results? Below I’ve listed just a few of the highlights of what I did last year –

* Started 2 new blogs
* Hired a business coach
* Hired a VA to do the things I never ‘got around’ to
* Learned a new project management software
* Established and set up new systems in my business
* Revamped three of my own websites
* Taught several new teleseminar topics
* Invested in three educational courses
* Landed a multi-million dollar company as a client

I’m looking forward to the New Year! Are you? What are you going to do differently this year? I’d love to hear about your big, stretching, step out there and ‘go-for-it’ plans for your interior design business…
